Our family journey has been filled with many blessings, the biggest of which is our Emma.  She just had her fifth birthday, and she is our pride and joy.  We thank God every day that she is in our lives....yet for years we secretly felt that something was missing....someONE had not yet joined our family. 
After Megan's cancer treatments in 2008 and 2009, she was not cleared for trying to conceive until 2010.  After 2010, it was discovered that her body was not working the way it used to, and modern medicine entered the picture to help us achieve conception.
In March of 2011, Megan had a miscarriage at 5 weeks.  Living one of her greatest fears proved quite difficult, and we felt we lost something greater than we could ever fully realize....the chance to add to our family.  Joel kept the faith, but Megan had many doubts.

Turns out Joel was right!  On September 21st, we had our first POSITIVE pregnancy test!  :) Now at 10 weeks (with a healthy and happy pregnant mommy and baby), we were given the greatest gift: the opportunity to tell our daughter.  Here's that video.
